His dream has always been to put state-of-the-art research into the real world. After his PhD in human-robot collaboration, he has gained strong knowledge on what it takes to combine multi-disciplinary research for making robots smarter and easy to use. Having gone through the pain of robot integration, he is an advocate of why ease of use should be of equal importance to core functionalities.

Marios passion is to make the robots smarter. During his PhD years, he conducted research on robot manipulation and deep learning, enabling machines to intelligently interact with the physical world and improve themselves over time. Marios vision of founding Progressive Robotics is to apply cutting-edge AI technology to solve real problems and contribute to society’s development.

A robotics professor and head of the Automation & Robotics Lab (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with 35+ years of deep knowledge of the research field. Proven by her academic record in well-known universities around the world and top-tier scientific publications in international journals, she is fully aware of what are the research gaps that need to be filled toward the advancement of robotics.
